On Saturday, May 17, 2025, The Salt Lake City Public Library unveiled the Main Library’s newly renovated rooftop terrace! Nearly 2,000 attendees got the first look, taking in the stunning views of downtown, the valley, and mountain ranges. We also welcomed our famous honeybees back home with bee-themed storytimes, honey snacks, and a chance to name the queen (results pending).
Here are some photos from the big day. The roof will be open on good-weather days throughout the year, so be sure to come experience it for yourself!
