NUMBERS

The City Library has a total of 641,233 items available for checkout. That’s 521,543 physical materials and 119,680 electronic materials, such as the eBooks and digital audiobooks available through Libby.

The total amount of items borrowed and returned is a whopping 2,858,044, up 5.5% compared to 2023. That’s also an estimated savings of over $55.5 million to taxpayers!

What type of item circulated the most in 2024? Movies! Items from The City Library’s vast collection of DVD/Blu-ray were checked out 234,228 times. A reminder that you can save big on streaming subscriptions and get hard-to-find films that aren’t even available online!
